Amr Diab has attended the "Saudi Egyptian Nights" concert at the Cairo Opera House, along with fellow performers Mohamed Mounir, Sherine Abdel Wahab, and Majid Al Mohandis. The concert was organised by the General Authority for Entertainment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and was part of a larger initiative to strengthen cultural and artistic ties between the two countries. This follows a rift between Diab and Saudi Arabian businessman Walid Al-Ibrahim, who detained the Egyptian singer in a Paris hotel in 2017 over alleged debts. However, recently, the Kingdom's General Authority for Entertainment announced that it had brokered a deal between the two men, thus paving the way for Diab's return to perform for Saudi audiences.
