Saudi Arabia has once again claimed the top spot in the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) ranking for electronic government and mobile services maturity. This is the second consecutive year that Saudi Arabia has maintained its lead, achieving a high maturity score of 93%. The ranking is based on 84 different indicators such as how mature and available certain government services are to the public via online portals and mobile applications. The ESCWA, a division of the United Nations, ranks 17 countries each year. This reflects the kingdom's digital transformation efforts, with strong support from the Digital Government System of Saudi Arabia's visionary leadership to achieve the targets of the Kingdom's 2030 Vision of building a digital society and investing in new technologies to increase productivity and efficiency and provide the best experience for all beneficiaries.
