Saudi Arabian entertainment initiative, the General Entertainment Authority (GEA),has signed a deal with the Egyptian Ministry of Culture to bring a series of cultural musical events to both countries. The announcement was made by both Turki Al Sheikh, head of GEA, and Egypt's Minister of Culture, Inas Abdel Dayem. The deal includes bringing Egyptian opera productions to Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabian performers to Egypt. Additionally, a joint cartoon film will be made, featuring both countries' characters, which will be shown in cinemas across both countries. The agreement follows a period of thawing relations between Saudi and Egypt, following a period of tension between the two countries.
