Egyptian actress Leila Elwy thanked Turki Al-Alshikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Entertainment in Saudi Arabia, for the success of her film "Sugar Daddy," which reportedly earned EGP 500m ($31m) in Saudi cinemas last year. The film, starring Elwy and comedian Bayoumi Fouad, is the fourth highest-grossing Egyptian film in the history of Saudi Arabia. Turki Al-Alshikh praised the film in a video posted on social media. The General Authority for Entertainment has been cooperating with Egyptian filmmakers to promote the cinema industry and cultural exchange between the two countries.
