Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has announced the creation of a fund called Big Time to support Saudi, Egyptian and Arab cinema, with the hope of producing 16 films. The GEA is the primary sponsor of the fund along with the Saudi Stock Exchange (TADAWUL) and the Ministry of Culture, with the fund in partnership with the following production companies: Sela Studios, SMS, Al-Arabiya, Rotana Audio Visual, B-Concept, Biscuire and Saudi Stars Entertainment. Big Time has approved several films for funding including several starring Ahmed el-Sakka, Ahmad Helmi, and Taisir Alony (who goes by Tyson),among others. The GEA's Turki al-Sheikh also revealed his intention to collaborate with Egyptian actor Karem Abdulaziz on a number of films.
