The first edition of the Riyadh International Jazz Festival has come to a close after three consecutive days of live music performances by local and international artists. The festival had a wide-ranging audience of jazz and world music enthusiasts who enjoyed a rich musical experience. The festival featured nine artists, including Saudi emerging artist Nadine Lenjawi, Australian band The Cat Empire, British singer Yolanda Brown, Chaka Khan, Kokoroko, Masego, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Saudi band Garwasha.
The festival is part of the efforts of the Music Authority to enrich cultural and musical activities, with events that encourage the development of interest in global music locally and internationally. The festival provided platform for local and international artists to connect with their audiences and showcase their best works.
