Egyptian actress Dunya Samir Ghanem's play "Anestonah" has seen great success since its premiere and has been recently announced to be part of the Riyadh season. The play features a star-studded cast, including Ghanem, with demands from the Saudi audience to extend the show's duration. Ghanem plays the role of a singer dreaming of fame, with Sami Maghawry as her father and Bayoumi Fouad as the maestro who discovers her talent. Ghanem performs five shows during the play, composed by Ayman Bahgat Amar, with music by Amr Mostafa and arrangements by Nabulsi. "Anestonah" is Ghanem's first work on stage, and she previously performed it in Egypt on the opera stage, achieving a full house. On another note, Ghanem will be absent from the 2024 Ramadan season due to her film work. She starred in the 2023 Ramadan series "Jet Selima," directed by Islam Khairy and co-starring Mohamed Selim, Khaled El-Sawi, Hala Fakher, and Sami Maghawry. Ghanem is currently working on her new film "Elgardaya", written by Karim Youssef and directed by Ahmed El-Jundy, co-starring Mohamed Mamdouh. Her last work in cinema was the film "Tasleem Ehali," which earned more than 30 million Egyptian pounds and starred Hisham Majid and the late Dalia El-Abd, among others.
