Johnny Depp directs Al Pacino in "Modi" biographical film backstage.

Actor Johnny Depp is currently directing his second feature film, "Modi," a biopic about Italian painter and sculptor Clemente Modigliani. A release date has yet to be announced, but it is expected to hit theaters this year. Behind-the-scenes photos reveal Depp giving directions to acclaimed actor Al Pacino, who portrays French art collector Maurice Gangnat. British producer Barry Navidi is producing the film. This is Depp's second directorial effort, following "The Brave" in 1997. The film is set to start shooting in Budapest later this year. Depp's most recent film role was in "Jeanne DU Barry," which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and portrayed the life of King Louis XVI.
