Buckingham Palace confirms King Charles has cancer.

Buckingham Palace announced on Monday that Britain's King Charles has prostate cancer and has begun a course of radiation treatment. The King, who is 75 years old, had been in hospital recently with a minor condition. During the stay tests diagnosed him with a cancerous growth. The Palace's statement said that he remains "in good health and good spirits" and that his duties would be postponed for the time being. Standard treatment of the disease includes radiation, surgery or active surveillance. The non-invasive nature of the treatment means that the risk to his constitutional role is minimal and he could continue to preside over constitutional and ceremonial affairs.
