The film "The Alexandrian" starring Ahmed El-Awady, Zeina, and Essam El-Sakka ranked fourth in box office sales, earning EGP 545k on Friday. The film tells the story of Bakr, played by Ahmed El-Awady, who lives in conflict with his father in Alexandria. He travels abroad to find himself but returns to find his problems still haunting him in a thrilling social context filled with action. The film's cast also includes Hussein Fahmy, Salah Abdelallah, Mahmoud Hafez, Khaled Sirhan, Intisar, Mohamed Ridwan, Mahmoud El-Leithy, while the film is supervised by Ahmed Afifi, photographed by Sameh Salim, decorated by Ahmed Abbas, and costume design by Mounia Fath El-Bab. The film was written by Osama Anwar Okasha and directed by Khaled Youssef. The film's release was celebrated weeks ago with a special show in Alexandria, and recently with another one in Cairo, attended by the film's director and stars like Ahmed El-Awady, Zeina, Essam El-Sakka, among others.
