Animation companies Illumination and Universal have released the first preview of the fourth instalment in the popular "Despicable Me" movie franchise. The trailer also introduces the cast for the upcoming movie, which includes Hollywood stars such as Will Ferrell, Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig. The plot for the forthcoming film centres around character Gru's son joining his family, while he faces off against a new villain called Max Le Menace, voiced by Ferrell. The as-yet-untitled movie is the sixth in which the popular yellow creatures, the Minions, will appear. It will be released in the US on 3 July. The previous instalment of the Despicable Me franchise, Despicable Me 3, was released in 2017.
