Turki Al-Sheikh's new announcement to honor Abd Al-Majid Abdallah and Rabeh Saqer.

Turki Al-Shiekh, the Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, has announced the creation of two new theatres in Saudi Arabia, named in honour of renowned artists Abdul Majeed Abdullah and Rabeh Saqr. The new stages will be built in Jeddah and the Eastern Province, respectively, and form part of a wider expansion that aims to increase the number of entertainment venues throughout the kingdom. Al-Shiekh also revealed that the $44m King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, referred to as the “Kingdom Arena”, is fully equipped to host the upcoming season’s Riyadh football tournament from 29 January to 5 February. The stadium has an initial capacity of 20,000 spectators, which is expected to rise to 30,000 by the end of the season. The tournament will feature the use of video assistant referees (VAR) for the first time in the history of Saudi football and introduce an all-female referee team.
