Emirati singer Ahlam responded to comments made by fellow artist Hala Sedki, who recently released a film titled "Al-Malika," which is the same nickname Ahlam is known for. Ahlam shared a video of herself with Sedki in which the latter discusses her film before being interrupted by Ahlam, who said, "Ahlam is going to kill me, but she's my beloved. I am the Emirati branch of the Queen." Ahlam also expressed her love for Sedki on her X account. "You are the queen, Safsaf. I love you, Ahlam's heart," she wrote. Sedki's "Al-Malika" is competing in the Half-Year Vacation Films season.Hala Sedki also commented: “The “Queen” in my film comes from the concept of chess. The queen is the strongest piece and always supports the king. That is why I chose the name to express the power of women and their strength in supporting those around them in their lives." Ahlam has also released a new album titled "The First Lady," which features five songs that she worked on with composer Dr. Talal.
