"Surprise performances by George Wassouf and Mohamed El Sharnouby at Salah El Sharnouby's Night"

A concert was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to honour legendary Egyptian musician and composer Salah el-Sharnoubi. The event was part of the Riyadh Season, under the auspices of the General Entertainment Authority, and was attended by a number of Arab celebrities and music stars. Some of the performers at the event were Assala, Ragheb Alama, Nancy Ajram, Wael Jassar, Asmaa Lmnawar, and Assi Al-Hallani, led by conductor Tamer Fayed. During the concert, there was also a tribute to late musician Tarek Akef, and poet Omar Batiesha was honoured. Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama announced his intention to re-record some of his songs using el-Sharnoubi's compositions, and he expressed his joy at being part of a night of nostalgia and dedication. George Wassouf surprised the audience and took part in the celebration by singing his songs, including "Ya Biyaeen El Hawa," and was joined on stage by the other performers. Mohammed el-Sharnoubi, nephew of Salah el-Sharnoubi, also participated and performed the song "Ajmal Alalam" in tribute to his uncle. Other performers like Assala and Asmaa Lmnawar also sang songs composed by Salah el-Sharnoubi. The event was a success, attracting a large audience and receiving positive responses from the media.
