The president of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA),Turki Al-Sheikh, has announced the beginning of construction of a new area called "Runway Boulevard" as part of the Riyadh Season and in collaboration with Saudi Airlines. The area will feature new experiences that are based in several airplanes that have been converted into entertainment spaces. The announcement of the new area came after the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the CEO of the GEA, Faisal Bafarat, and the CEO of Saudi Airlines, Khaled Tash, with the presence of the director-general of Saudi Airlines' group, Ibrahim Al-Omar. "Runway Boulevard" offers visitors the opportunity to experience different types of food offered by specialized international restaurants as well as other events like a horror experience in an airplane and a variety of games. The area offers a unique experience that is not typical for a fixed aircraft. It is expected to attract visitors who are seeking different types of entertainment.
