The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the beginning of the final voting phase for the works that will be chosen for the nominations before being officially announced in two weeks. The lists for the final nominations for the Oscars in ten artistic categories will be announced on January 23 before the 96th annual awards ceremony on March 10, 2024. The host for the event will be Jimmy Kimmel, who has previously hosted the awards show three times. Greta Gerwig's film Barbie received the most nominations, including for Best Original Song, while Killers of the Flower Moon received four nominations. The previous Oscars ceremony received around 19 million viewers and high ratings.
