TV presenter Rima Karaki will be hosting a new show on Rotana TV starting January 16. The show, called “Normal Program”, will differentiate itself from other shows by bringing in diverse topics in a smart, unusual way for an Arab audience on the Middle Eastern network. Karaki has previously touched on important social and human issues, winning international awards for “$2” on US Channel Alhurra, where she discussed poverty, prisons, terrorism, wars, and social problems in the Arab world. Recent events in the region were further exemplified when Rima famously cut off an interview with a guest on Al-Jadeed TV who dismissed her attempts to steer a discussion regarding Islamist extremism back on track.
