Angelina Jolie has spoken candidly about the impact of her divorce from Brad Pitt on her health, revealing that she suffered from Bell’s palsy in the months before they separated. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, the actor said that stress had caused her blood sugar levels to fluctuate and had led to hypertension, both of which had been remedied by medication. However, she also announced that Bell’s palsy, which causes temporary muscle weakness in the face, had caused her face to droop and was a “challenging” diagnosis. The Oscar winner, who has six children, is currently promoting her new film “First They Killed My Father”.
