Egyptian actor Nour El-Noury's film, "Al Harifeh" (The Rival),has earned EGP341,000 ($19,252) on its opening night in cinemas in Egypt. The film, which competes during the mid-year school break, is about a young football player named Magdi who transfers from an international school to a government one, where he meets a group of classmates from different social backgrounds. Together, they form a football team that competes in local tournaments and dream of playing in a major championship worth a prize of EGP1m. The film features an appearance by former footballer Ahmed Hossam Mido.
