Egyptian actor Mohamed Imam has announced that he will collaborate with director Sherif Arafa on a forthcoming film, titled “Al Le’eb Ma’ Al Ayal” (Playing with the kids),due to be released in 2024. The announcement came via Instagram, where Imam uploaded a picture of himself posing with Arafa, along with the caption “When your dreams become a reality, wait for me for the first time with the great director Shereef Arafa, film ‘Playing with the kids,’ surprise 2024, God willing”. The current season has seen strong competition between various films, including “Al Amil Zero” (Agent Zero),“Wash Fia Wash” (Face to Face),“Foui Foui Foui” (Unbelievable),and “Blomondo”. Recently released films also include “Shemarek and Abu Nesma”. According to film distributor Mahmoud Dafrawi, the total revenue of films at the box office on Tuesday was EGP 1,499,336 ($95,608). The film “Abu Nesma,” starring Mohamed Adel Imam, topped the list with revenue of EGP 1,042,195 ($66,506). “Abu Nesma” stars Mohamed Imam, Yasmine Sabry, Magdy Al-Kedwany, Wafaa Amer, Hala Fakher, and Mohamed Lotfy, among others. It was written by Ayman Wattar, directed by Rami Imam, and reunites Imam with Sabry for the third time, after they appeared together in “Jahim fi al-Hind” (Hell in India) in 2016, and “Layla Hena wa Surrour” (A Night of Joy) in 2018, both proving successful.
