Canadian singer Celine Dion's health is reportedly deteriorating due to a rare disorder called stiff person syndrome. The disorder affects one in a million people and causes progressive muscle stiffness and spasms, ultimately leading to impaired mobility, chronic pain, and a curved spine. Dion has lost sensation and control in her muscles, and her condition is said to be getting worse despite the intervention of a top medical team. The disorder has also prevented her from using her vocal cords in the way she would like, effectively preventing her from singing. Dion was diagnosed with the disorder in 2019 after experiencing a variety of medical issues, including hearing loss. She has already lost a niece due to a car accident, which has taken a significant toll on her mental health. As a result of her declining health, Dion may not be able to return to the stage for performances.
