Amr Diab, dubbed "the father of Mediterranean music," has released his sixth track, "Makanak," from his new album of the same name. The album contains 12 songs and follows Diab's previous release, a collaboration with fellow Egyptian singer Mohamed Hamaki. The song's lyrics were written by Tamer Hussein, it was composed by Amr Diab himself, and arranged by Ahmed Ibrahim, with Sherine Shakir providing the vocals. The album is being released through Anghami, a music streaming provider in the Middle East and North Africa. Earlier this month, Diab performed at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, where he debuted his new song, "Ya Qamar," ("Oh Moon"),which has not yet been officially released. Following the concert, Diab pledged to donate a portion of the proceeds to aid children and families in Gaza through the Red Crescent Society.
