A large statue of Colombian singer Shakira has been unveiled in her hometown of Barranquilla. The artwork, created by German artist Dieter Patt, is made from iron chips and bears the name "Colombia's Youngest Famous Person". The statue is located in Barranquilla's Paseo Bolivar, where Shakira grew up. The singer posted pictures of the statue on Instagram, saying "I am happy to share this with my parents, especially with my mother on her birthday", and describing it as "so much dedication – it is overwhelming to my small heart". Shakira recently released a new song, "Me Gusta", with Puerto Rican singer Anuel AA.
