Salma Abu Deif portrays a divorced daughter in "Why Are You Living it Alone?"

Egyptian actress Salma Abu Deif has revealed details about her character in the upcoming film "Leh Laaesh Helwa Leabdo" (Why Live it Alone). Abu Deif plays Layla Omar Shihab, a sensitive girl who plays the violin, and whose parents are separated. She has lived most of her life abroad with her mother, while her stepfather was an ambassador. The film, directed by Hossam El Gamal and starring Sherif Moneer and Khaled El Sawy, is a drama set in a social context, focusing on a heartfelt story between Abu Deif and a man who is in the same age group as her father. The film will be screened in Egypt on 3 January, during the New Year season, and in Gulf countries on 18 January.
