Egyptian actress Hedy Karam responded to criticism she received for wearing a dress with no lining at the El Gouna Film Festival. She said that people's assumptions were completely untrue and that there was no way she would have gone out in public naked. Karam was happy with her dress and thought it was beautiful and unique. She was at the film festival to promote the film "Al Shanab," which also stars Laila Eloui, Lubna Abdel Aziz, and Sawsan Badr, among others. Karam's last film was "Some Don't Go to the Legalizer Twice" alongside top actors like Karim Abdel Aziz, Dina El Sherbiny and Magdy El Kedwany.
