Egyptian actress Yousra has announced that she is preparing to return to the theater stage with a new play as part of the Riyadh Season events. Speaking to the “Cinematek” program on Saudi channel SBC, Yousra said that she is honored to perform in every Arab country, adding that as an artist, she feels refreshed by the wonderful reception she receives from audiences. She also talked about the possibility of participating in the Ramadan 2024 season and said that she has three good topics to write about but has not yet finished them. The play “Lama Baba Yanam” (“When Dad Sleeps”),which was performed for a year in 2002 and in which Yousra last participated, was with the late actor Alaa Waleed Al-Din. Yousra shared the stage with Alaa, Hisham Selim, and Ashraf Abdel Baqi in the play. It should be noted that Yousra participated in the Ramadan 2023 season with the series "Alf Hamdullah Ala As-Selama" with Mohamed Tharwat, Adam Al-Sharqawi, Mayan Al-Sayed, Shaima Seif, Sama Ibrahim, Anba, and the series is written by Mohamed Zulfikar and directed by Amr Salah. The story of the series revolves around a family consisting of a mother, son, and daughter who are forced to return to Egypt after years of migration in Canada to receive their inheritance, with comedic situations arising.
