The second press conference for the Riyadh Theatre Festival was held, revealing details of the festival's inaugural edition, which will take place from December 13 to 24. The chairman of the Theatre and Performing Arts Authority, Sultan Al Bazie, and Dr. Abdulilah Al-Sinani, head of the festival and member of the Theatre Authority, were present. Al-Sinani stated that the Saudi theater scene, particularly the Riyadh Theatre Festival, is gaining attention and praise due to the creative young talents that are passionate about theater and working tirelessly to develop quality productions that reflect the country's culture and heritage. The festival also announced its panel of judges, including renowned actor Ghassan Massoud and playwright Salih Zamanan, among others. The festival will also have Tunisia as its guest of honor, showcasing the play "Mayrawosh". A number of workshops will be available during the festival, including a theatre directing workshop led by Egyptian director Khaled Gelal and themes like body language and drama. The festival will feature ten Saudi plays from various groups and associations across Saudi Arabia.
