Nora film wins Best Saudi film award at Red Sea International Film Festival 2023.

The third edition of the Red Sea Film Festival was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with a star-studded jury led by the renowned director Baz Luhrmann. The festival featured a range of films, including Saudi films, and culminated with the premiere of Michael Mann's biopic of Enzo Ferrari. Numerous awards were presented, including the Golden and Silver Barges for short films, which were won by "Do You Remember?" by Dalia Nammari and "Travelling Bag" by Saman Hosseinpuor and Ako Zandkarimi, respectively. The Audience Award from the "Ula Film" category went to "Hopeless" by Kim Chang-hoon, while Tawfiq Al-Zaidi won Best Saudi Film for "Norah". Kauther Ben Hnia's "A Thousand Alphas" won the Best Documentary award, while Salah Bakri and Mouna Hawa won Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively. The screenplay award went to "Above the Shrine", written by Karim Ben Salah and Jamal Belmahi, and Zara Zakharova won Best Director for "Sunday". The top award for the festival's long-form category was the Golden Barge for "In the Flames", directed by Zaher Kanji. The festival's Opening Ceremony featured the world premiere of Yasser Al-Yasiri's Saudi Arabian fantasy romance "Hojun", while the closing ceremony included a special screening of Hayao Miyazaki's "The Boy and the Sad Man".
