Ricardo Karam reveals why his interview with the late Omar Sharif was not aired.

Lebanese journalist Ricardo Karam was a guest on "Yalla Nehki," a program hosted by journalist Jumana Bou Eid and broadcast on LBC television every Sunday at 9pm Beirut time. Bou Eid described Karam as an inspiring and influential figure, who never stops dreaming and strives to make these dreams come true. Karam spoke about the challenges he faced as a journalist, including being unfairly labeled as elitist or being accused of having connections to wealthy individuals like Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg. He emphasized the importance of building close relationships with his guests, though he never seeks anything in return except in times of crisis - such as during the Beirut port explosion - when he and his friends worked together to provide aid to those affected. When asked what issue he would like to have an impact on, Karam said he is interested in topics that are often overlooked by most people, such as environmental conservation, senior citizen welfare, and the wellbeing of aging artists. Karam revealed a new initiative to honor senior artists with a special Christmas concert to be held at the Casino du Liban, where a range of artists, singers, musicians, and dancers will perform and raise funds to support senior artists facing challenges in their lives. Karam also spoke about his early career in television and the challenges he faced in a highly competitive industry.
