Brazilian soccer star Neymar's girlfriend and mother to his daughter, Bruna Biancardi, has announced that she has ended their relationship. She made the announcement on her Instagram story, asking fans to stop linking her name to Neymar’s. She stated that they would remain co-parents to their daughter, Mavi, and maintain a friendly relationship. The couple had announced their engagement in 2022, but had briefly separated before reconciling in February 2023. The reasons for the split are not known. Neymar has had a difficult time recently, as three armed burglars broke into his São Paulo home in search of Biancardi and their newborn daughter. Fortunately, they were not home at the time. Neymar's parents were present, and were tied up by the burglars, who made off with luxury items such as watches, wallets, and jewelry. No one was injured, and one of the burglars has since been arrested. The other two are still at large.
