Saudi Arabia has been chosen to host the Expo 2030 international exhibition in its capital, Riyadh. The announcement was made by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE),which voted in favour of Riyadh on Tuesday. The event is scheduled to take place from October 2030 until March 2031, with the theme "The Era of Change: Together, We Build the Future" and sub-themes of "A Better Tomorrow", "Climate Action", and "Prosperity for All". The Kingdom's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed his appreciation and thanked the countries that supported Saudi Arabia’s bid and two other competitor cities: Busan, South Korea, and Rome, Italy. The expo is expected to offer a global platform to showcase the latest technologies and to bring together the brightest minds to find innovative solutions to global challenges, contributing to a positive future for humanity. The event also aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative, which is aimed at diversifying the country's economy and driving innovation.
