Egyptian actor Youssef El-Sharif has announced his divorce from writer Inji Alaa after more than 14 years of marriage and a successful working partnership on TV series. In a statement on his official social media account, El-Sharif said they were separating but maintained a relationship of mutual respect and affection. The former couple have collaborated on several TV series including "El-Sayed El-Atifi" (El-Atifi the Master),"El-Sayed El-Dalou" (El-Dalou the Master),and "El-Tawoos" (The Peacock). El-Sharif is set to participate in the Ramadan 2024 TV marathon with a new series titled "El-Rakoon" (The Racoon),written by Alaa. It will be a social thriller, marking their first post-split collaboration. Their latest work together was the successful series "Covid-25", which tackled the imaginary spread of a deadly virus in the year 2025, and was broadcast during Ramadan this year.
