Jennifer Lee, novelist and creative director for Disney, announced that a third installment of the hit animated film, Frozen, is in the works, with hints that the story may continue in a fourth part. The second part of the film was released in 2019 and surpassed the first part's revenues, grossing $1.45 billion worldwide. Lee attributes the success of the Frozen films to their warm story of family love and the message that love can conquer fear and overcome evil. The pre-production team is hard at work developing the new story, which may require more than one film to tell, and may be released in conjunction with the opening of the Disney Land park in Hong Kong. CEO of Disney, Bob Iger, hinted last week in an interview with Good Morning America that they may produce a fourth part of Frozen after completing the third.
