Egyptian actress Nadia El-Gendy has expressed her reservations about depicting her life story in a film, insisting her challenging journey as an actress would be difficult for most viewers to bear. El-Gendy, who spoke to Arab Wood, revealed her passion for acting had sometimes been a struggle during her career, where she had to put in a lot of effort to achieve success. The well-known actress added that the love of the public made up for everything and that love enabled her to overcome many difficulties in her profession. El-Gendy was recently honoured at the seventh DAFI Festival in Dubai for her contribution to Arabic cinema and television, along with fellow stars Mona Zaki and Asmaa Ibrahim. During her speech, El-Gendy thanked the festival for organising an initiative to support the people of Gaza. "Unfortunately, the current reality of the world will bear witness to this terrible massacre and war against innocent children, even though history will also witness the death of the human conscience of the world, which turns a blind eye to the truth. But God will triumph and the truth will prevail," El-Gendy said.
