The International Emmy Awards for 2023 honored the best in global television during its 51st edition. The 56 nominees for this year's awards ceremony represented 20 countries across six continents, with Netflix receiving two wins for its British series Derry Girls and Vir Das: Landing. Both shows were recognized as the best comedy series. Other winners included Carla Sosa for Best Actress in La Caida (Dive),Martin Freeman for Best Actor in The Responder, and The Smeds and The Smoos for Best Children's Animation. Mariupol: The People's Story took home the award for Best Documentary Film, while Des Gens Bien Ordinaires (A Very Ordinary World) won Best Short-Form Series. A Ponte - The Bridge Brasil was recognized as the best Non-Scripted Entertainment program, Built to Survive received the award for Best Children's Non-Scripted Entertainment, and Yargi (Family Secrets) won the Telenovela category. Finally, Buffy Sainte-Marie: Carry It On won Best Arts Programming, and Harley and Katya won Best Documentary Sports Film.
