The Saudi Theater and Performing Arts Association has announced the ten plays that will be competing in the official competition at the upcoming Riyadh Theater Festival, which will take place from December 13 to 24 at the Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman University Conference Center in Riyadh. These ten plays were chosen from among twenty plays that were presented in eight Saudi cities over 26 days. The ten plays are from groups such as Close Media, Kalus, Ruya, and Artist Books. The festival seeks to promote local theater production and will include cultural events to honor the late Saudi artist Mohammed Al-Othaim, a play written by him, an art exhibition focused on his artistic career, in addition to workshops, conferences, and discussions focused on theater arts.
