Ahmed Dawood appears overweight in his series "Zinhum"

Egyptian actor Ahmed Dawood has shocked fans by appearing noticeably overweight while filming his latest TV series, "Zaynham". Dawood plays a forensic doctor in the show. The programme's makers have released a series of individual promotional posters for each of the main cast members, following the release of a joint poster, ahead of its television debut on the ON and ON Drama channels and the Watch It platform. Alongside Dawood, "Zaynham"'s cast includes Salma Abu Deif and Ahmed El-Rafie. The series is directed by Yahya Ismail and produced by Aroma, with Tamer Morsy as executive producer. It was co-written by Mohamed Salim and Mohamed Fathy Abdelmoksood, while the show's screenplay was developed by Omar Madhat El-Shahat, Amr Moamen and Mohamed Salim. With its cast consisting primarily of newcomers, "Zaynham" marks Dawood's return to the small screen, having last appeared in last year's "Suits Arabiya". The show is set to air in Egypt during the month of Ramadan. Dawood made his screen debut with the 2015 film "Excuse My French". He has since gone on to become one of the Arab world's most prominent young actors, with a string of popular films, including last year's Eid release, "Day 13", which co-starred Dina El-Sherbini, Sherif Moneer and Ahmed Zaher.
