The announcement of the concert drew a mixed reaction from the public, with some expressing delight at the prospect of Kfoury and Elissa performing, while others criticised the event as inappropriate for the conservative kingdom. Elissa has also been celebrating her birthday and talking to Rotana about her new album, although she did not give a release date for it, saying only that it would be out "when the time is right".
