Film producer Charles Band is planning to create a movie called Barbenheimer that combines two very different films – the atomic bomb-themed movie Oppenheimer and Barbie-inspired film Barbie. Barbenheimer is set to take the form of a horror movie created using dolls and bombs as embellishments. Horror movie producer Band is hoping to create a comedy that can bring together the successes of both earlier movies while still being a horror project at heart. Budgeted at around $1m, it is known as a “B-movie”, a derogatory term for a low-budget production, but still has a cult following across the world.
