Saudi Arabian football club Al-Hilal made their first historic visit to India with a deserved win against Mumbai City in the fourth round of the group stage of the 2023-2024 AFC Champions League. Mumbai City started the game with a dangerous attack in the fourth minute, but Al-Hilal took over and wasted several chances in the first half, notably from Brazilians Michel and Malcolm. Al-Hilal then managed to breach the Indian defence and scored through Michel in the 62nd minute before Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic sealed the match in the 85th minute. The win boosted Al-Hilal's lead in the Group D standings to 10 points, ahead of Uzbekistan's Navbahor FC on goal difference.
