Egyptian singer Angham and Lebanese singer Wael Jassar have both cancelled their upcoming concerts in Dubai and Kuwait, respectively, in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Angham took to Instagram to announce that her concert scheduled for 20 October in Dubai was postponed due to the "painful events" in Palestine. Similarly, Wael Jassar announced the cancellation of his Kuwait concert. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Culture has suspended all of its activities for three days in mourning of the Palestinian victims of the recent violence. This move follows the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) campaign against Hamas in Gaza, which began on 11 May 2021. Since then, the death toll has exceeded 200, with the majority of the casualties being Palestinians.
