Egyptian actress Rania Farid Shawky expressed her desire to produce a artistic work that discusses the Palestine issue since 1948. She believes that it is essential to address this issue in artistic works and that art is a soft power just like journalism. She participated in a solidarity stand with Gaza, alongside other artists such as Ashraf Zaki, Amr Abdel Jalil, Ahmed Bedeir, Ihab Fahmi, Monir Makram, Lubna Abdel Aziz, as well as others who wore the Palestinian scarf or made passionate speeches, like Khaled El Sawy and Ahmed Abdel Aziz.
