Egyptian actor Khaled El-Sawy expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine during a demonstration in support of Gaza and the Palestinian cause. He declared admiration for their strength, courage and resilience despite difficult conditions. He mentioned difficulties in offering strong support and contributing effectively to their cause, but committed to finding ways to unify Arab artists and overcome political complexities in order to exert pressure on Arab governments and send influential messages outside of Egypt. Several other actors and artists made speeches and wore the Palestinian scarf. The demonstration was held at the Actors Syndicate in Cairo.
