The Minister of Culture in Egypt, Dr. Inas Abdel-Dayem, has announced the postponement of the 43rd Cairo International Film Festival and the 32nd Arab Music Festival and Conference. The film festival was scheduled to take place from November 15 to 24, 2021, and the music festival was due to be held by the Cairo Opera House. The new dates for both events have not yet been determined. The music festival was set to include 38 concerts featuring 120 artists, including 90 singers such as Assala, Mohye Salah, Ahmad al-Wazery, Ahmed Mohsen, Angham Mustafa, Naha Hafez, Ahmed Ibrahim, Nada Ghaleb, Mohamed al-Kholi, Amir Rafaei, Karim Zidan, Ayman Mustafa, Mai Farouk, Yasser Suleiman, Rehob Omar, Khaled Selim, Ahmed Hassan, Tamer Najah, Hossam Sakr, Taha Hussein, Amnah Samir, and Ahmed al-Omari.
