The Cairo International Film Festival has announced 15 film projects from eight Arab countries that will participate in the 10th edition of the Cairo Industry Days from 15 to 24 November. The list includes five post-production projects and 10 filmmaker-initiated projects in development from Egypt, Tunisia, Iraq, Lebanon, Sudan, Palestine, Algeria, and Saudi Arabia. Winning titles include 50 Meters, a documentary by Egypt’s Yomna Khattab; Yalla, Papa!, a documentary by Lebanon’s Angie Obeid; Assassins Songs, a fiction film by Iraq’s Adi Rashid; Blind Apparition, a fiction film by Ali Tawfiq al-Fatlawi from Iraq; and A Window on the Sky, a fiction film by Tunisia’s Sarah Laabi. The festival will also showcase Saudi Arabia's entry for Best Foreign Film at the 2020 Oscars.
