The Minister of Culture, Nevin Al-Kabbaj, has postponed the 32nd Arab Music Festival and Conference which was scheduled to take place in the Egyptian Opera House. The new date has yet to be decided. Dr. Khaled Dagar, head of the Egyptian Opera House, has stated that the festival supports the Palestinian cause through music and singing. One of the symposiums held in conjunction with the festival is titled, "The Effect of Folk Songs on the Resistance Songs."
