The heirs of legendary Lebanese composer and musician Assi Rahbani, represented by his children Ziad and Rima Rahbani, have issued a statement declaring their refusal to allow anyone, regardless of their relationship, to re-record, adapt or distribute any of the works of their father or their uncle, composer Mansour Rahbani. The statement warns against granting any permissions or licenses to anyone from one party alone, and applies both inside and outside Lebanon. The statement emphasizes that any use of the works of the Rahbani brothers or Ziad Rahbani without their permission is a violation of their rights. The statement came after a remix of a Ziad Rahbani song was released without his permission.
