The Alexandria Mediterranean Film Festival in Egypt will honor the late actor Khaled Zaki for his contributions to the film industry. Zaki participated in several successful films and TV shows over the course of his career and will be recognized for his artistic achievements during the 39th edition of the festival, which is scheduled for October 3-8. In another cultural celebration, the Egyptian Opera House will host a concert for talented students to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of legendary composer Sayed Darwish. The show will feature a variety of musical performances, including traditional choir pieces and dance numbers choreographed to Darwish’s classic songs. The concert will be preceded by an art exhibit showcasing the talents of student painters trained by artist Dalia Fouad.
