Rotana, a media production company, celebrated the success of its latest song titled "Mosalatik" for Qatari singer Fahed Al-Kubaisi. The company announced that the song has reached one million views on YouTube, making it the first Qatari song to do so. The song, which was released in September 2020, is sung in the Egyptian dialect which is a first for Al-Kubaisi. The lyrics were written by Ahmad Ali Moussa with music by Ahmad Zaaim and was arranged by Jalal Hamadawi. Al-Kubaisi started his music career in 2006 with the help of Qatari composer Matar Ali Al-Kuwari. His first album "Leish" was produced and distributed by Rotana, and in 2008 he released his second album "Asela" which was produced and distributed by Platinum Records. Since then, Al-Kubaisi has released various singles. The Qatari singer participated in Egypt's celebrations for the anniversary of the October War in 2019 by performing in a musical alongside other Arab artists, including Hussain Al Jassmi and Tamer Hosny, in front of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Rotana also released a song by Al-Kubaisi titled "Al-Muhim Mohammed" on YouTube and other digital platforms to celebrate the 93rd Saudi National Day. The song’s lyrics were written by Fahd Al-Shahri with music by Abdullah Al-Manei and was arranged by Mohannad Saif, it was produced by Rotana. The success of Al-Kubaisi’s songs shows the increasing popularity of Qatari music, which is gaining a wider audience across the Arab world. Al-Kubaisi has become one of Qatar's most prominent voices in the music industry and continues to leave his mark on the regional music scene with his unique style and performances.
