Dr. Medhat al-Adl, the screenwriter, expressed his happiness with the success of the play Charlie Chaplin, starring artist Mohamed Fahim, which was presented in the past year's seasons in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Cairo recently. And al-Adl revealed in statements to the Arab Wood program on the sidelines of the celebration of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's National Day held at its embassy in Cairo, the details of his new play, which will star artist Menna Shalabi. He said: "As a continuation of the Charlie Chaplin experience, we are working on a new musical play starring Menna Shalabi and others. Hopefully, the show will be presented in the Riyadh season or Jeddah if we do not finish it in Riyadh." He added: "We presented the Charlie Chaplin play in the Riyadh and Jeddah seasons last year, and it achieved great success. Then we presented it in Cairo, and it succeeded as well. I thank Counselor Turki Al-Alsheikh and the Saudi Entertainment Authority for supporting the play and standing by the presentation. The show was very difficult and needed courage. Thank God, it succeeded, and we are happy that there is a strong push for art and that theater is becoming strong again." Menna Shalabi participated in a series of 15 episodes titled Change of Atmosphere during Ramadan 2023. The work includes a group of artists, most notably Eyad Nassar, Mervat Amin, Saleh Bakri, Esam Omar, Sherine, Mahmoud Kabil, and Razzan Jamal.
